It's been an incredibly busy March so far! Last week started off featuring green! We haven't celebrated St Patrick's Day but K was adamant that we celebrate it this year. On March 17, she surprised me by waking up early and coming to the kitchen to declare: "Have the leprechauns been here?" Huh? It appears that some of her classmates get gifts delivered by leprechauns on St Patrick's Day. Hmmm. The little temporary tattoos won some reprieve for me! I baked and sent chocolate cupcakes (with minty green icing) to school and preschool. (I was so tempted to add some sprinkles to the icing but so many sprinkles are made in facilities that produce items with nuts and I don't like risking cross-contamination).
The day following St Patrick's Day, K and N assisted in decorating the house for Easter. (Some Easter decorations made an earlier appearance!) The wee baby chicks are quite popular with K and N who keep swapping around their baskets:
I now just need to motivate myself to remove my snowflake paraphernalia (which I use to protest the arrival and prolonged stay of snow)!
Scrumptious green-frosted cupcakes...mmm... Your Easter tree is so pretty and with Easter bunny too. It's time to break free from the snowflakes! ;o) Happy Days ((HUGS))
ReplyDeleteThose cupcakes look magnificent!
ReplyDeleteHmmm, I've never heard of gift-bearing leprechauns either!
ReplyDeleteOh it's interesting how you will inherit other family's traditions. The tooth fairy now requires that you leave a cup of water beside the bed - the water magically changes colour depending on the sex of the fairy - like it would be a boy fairy??? As if the challenge of extracting a tooth from underneath a pillow with a sleeping child on top wasn't enough. SR
ReplyDeleteHa ha... you caught me again... I just got my outdoor Christmas decor down last week :) St. Pat's was a bust around here.
ReplyDeleteThe cupcakes? Awesome!!
