Today's prompt was to take a photo of a candle so I broke a 28 year old tradition by lighting this vintage candle on this vintage angel candle-holder that was given to me by a friend in high school! I suppose I should have done this long ago; it is astonishing it hasn't melted or somehow became mis-shaped by now!
We were supposed to take photos of lights yesterday. As I didn't want to venture outside, I took this photo of K & N's tree! Do you see angels in the tree too? We purchased a short strand of lights for this tree this year so they will be on most evenings from September through to Easter due to K and N's various seasonal tree decorating spurts! (It drives my dh crazy & now it is lit!!)
Earlier this week, we were urged to take a photo of something sacred. I took a photo of my view of the local cathedral from my office window.
I'm so glad you lit the candle... the lights as angels look pretty cool!
ReplyDeleteCute angel. I love the lights, too.
ReplyDeleteI adore angels, there is something so serene about them.
ReplyDeleteSuch a sweet angel...*sigh*... And it does look like your holiday tree has been visited by angels... or doves! Just catching up with you...I still have baking to do as a big one on my to-do list. We have a good many gatherings & get-togethers in the next days, so visiting friends early this week in blogland. I hope to post again before the holiday break :o) Hoping you & yours have the happiest holiday season & wishing you all the best in 2011! ((HUGS))
ReplyDeleteMaureen, You left me such wonderful comments and I think you were the only one to see what was on the bottom of my list. I have been printing my pictures at home for about 12 years now and the quality seems to be as good as the original print. They say that these should last 100-200 years and I figure it most likely will be a whole different thing by then. Thanks for all of the comments. Ami
ReplyDeleteSpecial Christmas blog post request...could you take a photo of all of the ornaments you have painted for your girls. I was just admiring mine on our tree and I would love to see the other ones you have painted!
ReplyDeleteLindsay
p.s. LOVED the photo you sent. The girls look so beautiful!
