We had spring for a couple days last week. Excited by the prospect of winter disappearing for a few months, I ventured outside to get some spring-time shots. Of course the girls were only too happy to oblige demonstrating how deep the puddles were:
I've been spending lots of time indoors doing the case-law digests. Many hours are spent reading case-law on the couch with a cup of tea on the windowsill. I should become a shareholder of David's Tea considering how much tea I drink, especially the Cinnamon Chai! (I tend to drink mostly Rooibus teas because I've heard that South African doctors recommend them due to the high quantities of antioxidants within them but I also drink many of their herbal teas too!) I've also become a collector of loose tea accessories including the travel mug (which is like a travel version of the Bodum coffeepot).
I've been mostly focussing on catching up on Big Picture Classes that I've missed hence why I'm not sharing any photos! As spring is coming, I'm getting crafting fever and hope to make some end-of-year gifts for teachers! K has started to use the sewing machine (with my direct supervision) so she may help make a fabric bag for her teacher? We'll see!
Hope the weather starts to get milder. He are having multiple personality weather. 90F temps on Saturday. Windy and cool on Sunday. Raining and windy on Monday. Each day is a surprise. They say if you don't like the weather in Texas, just wait 5 minutes.
ReplyDeleteThe question mark is mine too... for I'm beginning to think that Spring is bypassing us here in Norway this year! It's been so chilly--just itching for it to warm up so the rest of this snow can melt! I'm a tea-drinker too, you know. Rooibos took me time to get used to though, something with that initial taste...but I like it now, though I don't drink it daily. I drink a lot of green tea. VERY exciting all the creativity brewing there... Can't wait to see what you make. And I was thrilled to hear that you've gotten some yarn & knitting needles--HOORAY! If you need some advice, do please be in touch--glad to help! :o) Happy Days ((HUGS))
ReplyDeleteThe weather is stupid here right now. I'm tired of having gorgeous sunny warm days interrupted with snow!
ReplyDeleteI have to try this David's tea. Do you buy it through the internet or do they sell it someplace in Regina? What is your favourite other than the cinnamon chai?
Your comment about Ipad vs. Kindle? The Kindle is awesome for just reading. No glare on the screen and the small one is just perfect for carrying around. The Ipad is just cool. We are getting one of those too (can you tell we like gadgets?) to use in our family room because we will no longer have room for our Mac. It does everything! So, my advise, get both!! ha ha
We keep getting hints of spring and then hit with a cold front again. Such a tease this springtime is!
ReplyDeleteI'm excited to read K is using the sewing machine. Can't wait to see future projects created with her help!
Thank you, MJ for the anniversary wishes! How are you doing?
