I have managed to do a couple baby layouts using photos that have been hanging around with my baby stash (and yes, I have my stash organized based upon seasons/occasions ~ call me "uptight" but I can usually find things reasonably quickly!) ...
I was delighted to finally able to incorporate K's baby barrettes into a layout! Every time I see them, I think of her!
This layout didn't turn out as I had planned. Its title is "Sweet Dreams" and the word "dreams" is designed into the patterned paper and located below "Sweet". I just couldn't figure out a way of raising attention to dreams. Working on a layout is like working on a puzzle to me.
Journalling is a very important part of my scrapbooking. It is fun to play with paper and tangible things (buttons, accessories) but the journalling gets me each time. It is a wonderful way to record memories!
I like these. I especially like the barrette idea. I hope you can find some time to do some more of these.
ReplyDeleteI was thinking about the DREAMS. Maybe you could outline with a light blue marker. Or maybe you could use a clear embossing pen and use some clear embossing powder to make the letters shiny. Finally, I was thinking (as I often do) that you could put some glue on it and use some clear glitter on the letters or colored glitter around the edges or (this just hit me) dimensional paint around the outline.
Just thinking.
I thought they were barrettes! Cute idea. I would love to scrap with Bebe's pics but I am so overwhelmed right now with everything else. May have to wait until she is 16. Scratch that. We will be so busy then. Maybe when she goes to college. :0)
ReplyDeleteI love that you included the actual barrettes on your layout!
ReplyDeleteI am not producing very much in Use Your Stash, either. I think I need more structure in my classes. A bunch more spare time would help, too! This time of year is tough. I am just working on a third layout today, and it's not really a stash-busting layout; just one that I wanted to do.
Gosh you are talented. I am so useless with things like that!
